Well guys and gals, just about 2 years ago I was honored to test and run the RCMAX 70, well I guess I did a good job with that and was asked along with my friend Mr. Manny to test this new power plant the RCMAX 46cc. I asked Chris what this new motor was about, and he said not everyone wants or can handle a 70 but still want a bigger cc motor. So he said I will send you and manny a motor and I want you to run the crap out of it then hand it off to manny and let him do the same. So during the hottest summer we had this past year was insane, I ran this motor. And could not believe how easy it was to start and enjoy. Some complain they can't handle the bigger power motors but with the right setup anything can be handled and enjoyed. And This motor was delight to run. As with the 70 club thread, post your questions and builds for this motor and only RCMAX.
My setup for testing was a T/B setup, a little of everything. I ran a 668, 813, 1048, 1052, 990 & WJ71 (70 carb) during testing. I ran these carbs in stock form to get a base line on reliability and performance. The 813 and 990 were the 2 best carbs. And I can't stand the 813..... Sorry IETZR1S.. But fact was those ran the best, the 1048 was good, but pulling a Airfilter off to prime sucked. Most fun and least headache was 990 & 813. With that said get yourself the 990 and then pick up yourself a 98-344 metering spring for the Carb. To do the pop off pressure mod.

This motor will truly want more and can handle it. This is a motor for the guy that wants a big punch in a little package and will still deliver more. With it when you do a improvement you will truly see it and want to do more!
On the clutch, just ran the CY clutch with a 9500 spring. Was lasting and reliable. You can purchase the 70 clutch and mount, but you would only need it for the 65cc or 71cc upgrades later down the road if you choose. Only part on the clutch I would suggest is a open carrier as like the Twins you want to keep the clutch cool for great fun. And gear would be anywhere from 21/53 to 24/50.
Airfilter, I will be using the Senad. But stock will be fine.
I recommend running a Team Chase cage and check out the Bdubs Basher Bars. The head sticks up kind of high and when flipping you don't want to crack the head.
